Information for
Division of Politics and Economics (DPE)
Prospective Students

Thank you for visiting the Division of Politics and Economics (DPE) at Claremont Graduate University (CGU). We are delighted that you are interested in our programs .
The Division of Politics and Economics (DPE) encompasses the Department of Politics and Policy and the Department of Economics at CGU. We have built an integrated political economy program between the two disciplines, while maintaining the distinct field knowledge of political science and economics. The integrated curriculum and research have made possible substantial transdisciplinary work by those faculty and students who wish to examine substantive issues, usually confined to either discipline above, with broader perspectives and a wider range of methodologies.

I invite you to peruse through our main prospective student web page to learn more about CGU and our community.  Listen to our Tuesday Talks to learn about our faculty and their research interests. When you are ready to apply, be sure to go to for information regarding the application process. We look forward to welcoming you to our Claremont community.
