Degree Programs

At the School of Information Systems and Technology we teach and do research about the use of information technology to solve transdisciplinary problems.  Technologically adept, but not strictly a "tech" school, SISAT offers labs and curricula that integrate computing, management, and other disciplines.  Some of our students aspire to be IT leaders in practice (i.e., in IT and non-IT businesses, in government, in education, and elsewhere), while others aim to hold research and teaching positions in Academia.  All are here to master the established body of knowledge in IS&T, as well as to be exposed to the latest research findings from our faculty members and their colleagues around the world.

SISAT offers two degree programs

  • the Master's of Science in Information Systems and Technology
    • prepares students for IS&T leadership roles in business, government, education, and other areas
    • provides balance between technology and management content
    • available with concentration in GIS Solution Development
    • can be earned as dual degree (with MBA)
  • the Ph.D. in Information Systems and Technology
    • prepares students to be IS&T scholars
    • research education from distinguished research faculty
    • master's degree in IS&T (or closely-related field) required
