Print Publications from the Office of University Communications
The two regularly produced university periodicals are the Flame magazine and the Pedant student newsletter.
The Flame
The Flame is produced three times a year, and can be viewed in an online flipper format or on an interactive Flame web page. There is also a CGU Flame app available on iTunes for iPhones and iPads.
Brendan Babish is the managing editor of the Flame. If you have any questions or comments about the magazine, he can be reached at brendan.babish@cgu.edu.
The Pedant

The Pedant is a newsletter for CGU students and is distributed exclusively on campus, though it can be viewed in an online flipper format or on the Pedant web page. It is produced four times a year.
Rachel Tie is the managing editor of the Pedant and a doctoral student in the School of Arts and Humanities. She can be reached at rachel.tie@cgu.edu.
These publications both adhere to the Claremont Graduate University Brand and Identity Standards Manual.
In addition, the Office of University Communications assists in the conception, design, and copywriting/editing for individual print pieces, such as brochures, programs, or invitations, among others.
The Brand and Identity Standards Manual
Claremont Graduate University Brand and Identity Standards Manual is meant to create a clear, cohesive system of design unity and to serve as a convenient resource to resolve stylistic uncertainties common to university publications—promotional pieces, brochures, letters, etc.—and other media, such as at the CGU website and new electronic media.
