How to Apply

Current Claremont Colleges, Soka University, and SUNY Geneseo undergraduate students may apply to the Claremont Colleges 1-Year Masters program during their sophomore, junior, or beginning of senior year. Students with a GPA of 2.79 or higher should refer to the guidelines below for a fast-track application process. Those who do not meet this GPA requirement should review the application checklist on this page.

Once admitted, you will collaborate with advisors from both your home institution and CGU to create a course plan that allows you to start taking classes that count towards your master’s degree.

Application Guidelines

The Claremont Graduate University online application is hosted online by Slate Technolutions via a secure web server. You will create a username and password so that you can return to continue your application over several sessions and check your status after submission. After you submit your application, it is made available for review by our faculty and staff.

Transcripts

Please submit a transcript for your current undergraduate coursework, along with official transcripts from any other institution where you have been awarded a degree. Once your undergraduate degree is conferred, a final official transcript documenting the conferred degree must be submitted to CGU before the end of your first semester in the master’s program.

This is required for Teacher Education program applicants only.
