Marketing Team Takes Silver in This Year’s CASE Awards
The standard of excellence in higher education awards are those given annually by the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE), a non-profit organization serving some 3,400 colleges and universities across the nation.
CGU’s marketing team—led by Gerard Babb, Hollis Cooper, and Gina Pirtle—created an award-winning entry for the category “Student Recruitment Publications: Viewbooks, Prospectuses, and Publications.”
Their entry rose above 543 submissions this year to receive the silver award in CASE’s District VII, a highly-competitive region that includes small and large schools and universities in the western United States.
As anyone in higher education knows well, viewbooks—along with websites—can make or break a prospective student’s decision to attend an institution.
The CGU team designed a sleek, streamlined “viewbook system” composed of modular parts that function together and separately, depending on the needs of the Office of Admissions. The award-winning entry includes the main overview viewbook, smaller inserts designed around areas of study, a lightweight at-a-glance brochure, and program-specific bookmarks.
All pieces in this system provide a compelling call-to-action and were designed as ideal “leave-behind” materials to be used by the university’s recruiting as well as development teams.
With this year’s award, CGU continues its winning streak in recent years. Read more here about other past CGU CASE Awards: “CGU Wins 2018 CASE Medals in Magazine, Website, and Design Categories”
