CGU MFA welcomes Fabian Debora. Fabian Debora is an influential artist whose work is deeply connected to his personal experiences and cultural roots in East Los Angeles. Debora’s work transcends traditional artistic boundaries, combining elements of graffiti, muralism, and fine art to create visually compelling and socially meaningful pieces that resonate with both personal and collective histories. Debora uses vibrant colors and emotive realism to explore themes such as identity, transformation, and community. Beyond his art, he is also known for his commitment to mentoring others and his work with Homeboy Industries, where he helps empower and heal through creativity. Born and raised in East Los Angeles, Debora studied at the Otis College of Art and Design, which further honed his artistic skills and vision. Join us at 4:30 pm in the Board of Trustees room for a lecture followed by Q&A.
