Senior Fellow Christopher Gopal to participate in March 4 supply chain town hall
Christopher Gopal, executive director of the Drucker Center for Supply Chain & Logistics and senior fellow in Claremont Graduate University’s Drucker School of Management, will be a featured participant at a town hall meeting examining logistics and supply chain management in Southern California’s Inland Empire.
The March 4 event in San Bernardino is organized by California Assemblymember Cheryl R. Brown. It takes place at San Bernardino Valley College from noon to 1:30 pm.
Gopal will speak on the benefits of the supply chain as it relates to economic development and job growth. This includes the implications of alternative fuels, infrastructure, and transportation.
The Drucker School is home to the Center for Supply Chain & Logistics, which provides management education, advisory services, training, and research in this critical and rapidly changing field. The center also co-hosts, with the Inland Empire Economic Partnership, the highly successful Southern California Supply Chain & Logistics Summit; the 2016 Summit will be held on April 28, 2106.
The Drucker School offers concentrations in Supply Chain & Logistics as part of its full-time and part-time MBA and master’s in management programs.
Gopal is a highly experienced supply chain and operations executive with over 35 years of global and domestic experience across multiple industries. His experience includes executive line management and consulting with major global and small companies. He is the co-author of three books on supply chain & logistics, and has served as a featured speaker and panelist at several international forums.
Gopal was recently on the Supply Chain Guru panel for Supply Chain Digest, and he co-authored a recent article in Marketing Management on the customer-driven supply chain.
