The seventh district of the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) celebrated the winners of its 2018 Awards of Excellence at a special ceremony held this month during an annual conference in the Bay Area.
Among this year’s District VII winners is Claremont Graduate University, which was awarded medals in the following three categories:
- Design and Photography
Multi-page publications: Silver medal for the Claremont Evaluation Center-New York (CEC-NY) “Strategic Global Leadership in Evaluation” brochure.
- Digital Communications
Institutional websites: Bronze medal for CGU’s main website (launched last year).
- Magazines
General Interest, Circulation under 30,000: Silver medal for the Fall 2016 and Summer 2017 issues of The Flame, CGU’s alumni magazine.
CASE’s District VII is a highly competitive region that includes large and small educational institutions in the western United States. The Flame magazine, for instance, was up against stiff competition from California State University, San Marcos (which received a bronze medal), and UCLA (which also received a silver medal).
