Claremont Graduate University is proud to announce that Trevor Anthony, a PhD candidate at the School of Arts and Humanities, has been named as the inaugural Executive Director of the Drucker House Museum. The position, which was created to oversee the museum’s various ongoing initiatives, is the result of a unique transdisciplinary partnership between The Center for Humanities in Practice (CHIP), the Drucker School of Management, and the Drucker Institute.

The Drucker Institute, which was established in 1999, seeks to preserve and advance the work of Peter F. Drucker and other leading thinkers by promoting effective management practices and strengthening organizations for the betterment of society.

CGU brings humanities scholarship to life by tackling real-world challenges—blending historical preservation, management thought, and cultural engagement in meaningful ways. By leveraging expertise from multiple disciplines within CGU, the Drucker House Museum will serve as both a historical landmark and a dynamic learning environment.

“The Drucker House Museum is more than a tribute to Peter Drucker—it’s an evolving space where management and the humanities intersect,” said David Sprott, the Henry Y. Hwang Dean of the Drucker School of Management. “This partnership allows us to explore Drucker’s ideas in new ways, ensuring his influence continues to shape leadership and organizations in the 21st century.”

A Vision for the Drucker House Museum

Located in Claremont, California, the Drucker House Museum is listed on the National Register of Historic Places as one of the country’s cultural treasures. Peter and Doris Drucker lived in the house for three decades, and it was where Drucker authored many of his influential works on leadership, innovation, and management thought.

“The Drucker House Museum is a rare opportunity to bring Drucker’s ideas into today’s conversation on management, leadership, and societal impact,” said Anthony. “We are committed to leveraging the museum as a space for education, research, and community engagement.”

As part of this vision, the museum will offer hands-on learning experiences for students in Museum Studies, History, and Management, providing opportunities to develop exhibits, curate archival materials, and conduct oral history projects that explore Drucker’s ongoing influence in the business world.

Professor Joshua Goode, Chair of the Cultural Studies Department, emphasized the museum’s importance as a historical and academic resource. “The Drucker House Museum is not just about preserving history—it’s about making it relevant to today’s students, scholars, and leaders. Through this initiative, we are opening new doors for interdisciplinary study and engagement.”
