Jody Waters is responsible for accreditation and institutional effectiveness, program assessment and review, new program development and approval, and oversight of Institutional Research and the Registrar’s Office at Claremont Graduate University. Before joining CGU, she served as Associate Provost and Director of Graduate Studies, as well as Associate Professor of Communications at Southern Oregon University. Her research and teaching interests focus on intercultural and international communication, local and transnational social movements, social change and development in the majority world, and the discourse of social issues such as poverty, hunger, homelessness, and immigration. She has conducted research in communities across Central and South America, Mexico, the U.S., and Canada. She earned her PhD in Radio-TV-Film and Latin American Studies from the University of Texas at Austin.
