Embracing the unpredictability in the actions of the paint itself, I enjoy allowing the paint to do things I don’t necessarily intend or can control. I try to capture and emphasize the so-called mistakes that take place in my studio, the extra splatters that fly outside the frame; the kinds of marks that are typically forgotten about. These messes and mistakes are already perfect and I revitalize them. I want to portray how important my process is by highlighting the idea of the unfinished existing just as beautifully in a world with the finished.
